Firstly, stage fright is the fear of speaking in public. It is also referred as the act of being afraid when communicating or rendering a particular article in the public. It has stopped some people from achieving what they were meant to achieve.

  • Adjust the point of focus from yourself and your fear to your true purpose contributing something of value to your audience.
  • Never get yourself afraid with thoughts about what might go wrong. Nevertheless, focus your attention on thoughts and images that are calming and assured.
  • Stop thinking about thoughts that modifies self-doubt and low confidence.
  • Practice ways to calm and relax your mind and body, such as deep breathing, relaxation exercise and meditation.
  • Eat a well balanced diet and practice other healthy lifestyle habit. Limit caffeine, sugar and alcohol as much as possible. Regular exercise.
  • Visualize the success you are about to achieve .always focus on what you are capable of doing and the capacity and ability to handle challenging situations.
  • “Proper preparation prevents poor performance”. Prepare what you are presenting in advance and read it aloud to the hearing of the people.
  • Ensure and build up connection with your audience, smile and greet people, make them as friends rather than taking them as enemies.
  • Stand or sit in a “self assured”, confident posture.
  • Remain warm and open, and then make eye contact.
  • Never give up and try to be perfect and know your stand that it is normal to make mistakes.
  • Speak freely and comfortably.
  • Develop and empowering belief and trust in yourself.
  • Be real, be yourself.
